God went out of His way to help us by sending Jesus. Are we willing to go out of our way to help others and live out the gospel message? Our faith is not meant to be passive or occasional—it is meant to be active and life-changing every day. If we truly follow Jesus and love our neighbors as ourselves, our lives and our communities should look different.
1. Am I Willing to Be Interrupted to Help Someone in Need?
Acts 3:1-3; Luke 9:23
Peter and John were simply going about their normal routine when they encountered the lame man. Are we open to God using us in unexpected moments, even when it’s inconvenient?
Reflect: How might God be calling me to notice and respond to needs around me, even in the midst of my daily routines?
2. Will I Step Out of My Comfort Zone and Offer What I Have?
Read Acts 3:4-6; Joshua 1:9
Peter didn’t have money, but he offered the power of Jesus. Sometimes God asks us to give what we have, even if it feels small or we feel inadequate.
Reflect: In what ways is God prompting me to step out in faith and offer what I have—even if it stretches me?
3. Do I Respond With Compassion and Urgency When I See a Need?**
Read Acts 3:7-8; Proverbs 3:27-28
Peter acted immediately, reaching out with compassion and changing a man’s life.
Reflect: Is there someone I can help today? Am I willing to act now, rather than waiting for a more convenient time?
Pray: “God, use me.” Ask God to open your eyes to someone or some situation today where you can step out, take action, and make a difference.
